Self-archiving policy

Mycological Spectrum supports the broad dissemination and accessibility of scholarly research. Authors are encouraged to share and archive their work in institutional repositories, recognised subject repositories, personal websites, and academic networking platforms, provided that the original publication in the journal is properly acknowledged.

The journal permits the self-archiving of different versions of a manuscript as described below.

Authors may archive or share the submitted version of their manuscript (preprint) on personal websites, institutional repositories, recognised preprint servers, or other non-commercial repositories before or during the peer-review process.

Following acceptance for publication, authors may archive the accepted manuscript in institutional repositories, personal websites, ORCID records, ResearchGate, Academia.edu, or other recognised scholarly repositories. Authors should clearly indicate that the manuscript has been accepted for publication in Mycological Spectrum and should update the repository record with the final publication details once the article is published.

Authors may archive and share the final published version of their article immediately after publication on institutional repositories, personal websites, ResearchGate, Academia.edu, and other recognised scholarly repositories.

When sharing the published version, authors should always include:

• The complete bibliographic citation of the article.
• The Digital Object Identifier (DOI), where applicable.
• A statement acknowledging Mycological Spectrum as the original source of publication.

Mycological Spectrum does not impose an embargo period. Authors may archive the permitted versions of their manuscripts immediately after publication.

Authors retain the copyright of their published work. Articles published in Mycological Spectrum are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) Licence, which permits unrestricted sharing and reuse, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the journal.

This Self-Archiving Policy is intended to promote the widest possible dissemination, visibility, and long-term accessibility of research published in Mycological Spectrum, while ensuring that the integrity of the scholarly record is maintained through appropriate citation of the published article.
